World Tourism Day marked with grand ceremony in Balochistan

QUETTA: The Directorate of Tourism Balochistan organized a grand ceremony, bringing together people from various walks of life, including artists, cultural figures, and officials.

The event mentioned the significance of tourism in the province and its role in promoting cultural heritage and economic development.

In this sense, the chief guest of the ceremony was Dr. Abu Al-Hasan Mary, Director General of Iran’s Khana-e-Farhang.

There are several distinguished speakers included Dr Dawood Tareen, Director of Culture Balochistan; Jameel Hussain Baloch, Director of Archaeology; Rozina Khilji; and Dr. Banish. Addressing the gathering, they describe the diverse aspects of tourism and its potential to transform Balochistan into a prominent destination on the global map.

Furthermore, notable speakers focused on the fact that Balochistan is home to unique and attractive tourist sites that possess international appeal.

They underlined the need to mention and promote these destinations through sustainable initiatives. It was also announced that, under the supervision of Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism and Culture Nawabzada Zareen Khan Magsi and Secretary Tourism and Culture Sohail Rehman Baloch, the provincial government will soon introduce a special tourism package.

Moreover, the speakers reasserted that the development of tourist centers remains one of the top priorities of the Balochistan’s government.

The ceremony also featured a theatrical performance directed by renowned artist Amanullah Nasir, which showcased the scenic beauty and cultural charm of Balochistan.

Deputy Director Tourism Gehram Bakhshi, Assistant Director Younus Baloch, and other officials of the department also addressed the ceremony, mentioning the department’s continued efforts to increase tourism activities and infrastructure in the province.
