QUETTA: Balochistan’s soil, long scarred by violence, is increasingly becoming inhospitable for militants operating under foreign agendas. The resilient Chakarani tribe in Sui has dealt a decisive blow to the India-backed terrorist group, the Baloch Republican Army (BRA).
In this sense, more than six militants were neutralized in the operation, including two notorious commanders, Washo Hotkani and Mashkoor Kohli.
Furthermore, both individuals had been long associated with acts of terror that claimed the lives of countless innocent Baloch citizens.
In addition, the Washo Hotkani, often referred to as the “Butcher of the Field,” carried a notorious record of orchestrating bombings, planting landmines, and carrying out targeted killings across different parts of the province.
Similarly, Mashkoor Kohli, the brother of another militant, Suri Kohli, had become a symbol of fear in the Sui region.
Moreover, the BRA, accused of operating with external funding and backing, has frequently targeted civilians and public infrastructure under the guise of separatist struggle.
However, the Chakarani tribe’s successful action indicates a growing shift in the province: local communities are taking a stand against those who use the banner of so-called resistance to inflict terror on their own people.
Meanwhile, the tribal elders focused on the fact that the operation was not just a retaliatory move but a clear message that the people of Balochistan will no longer tolerate the exploitation of their land and lives for foreign-sponsored violence.

In such a scenario, the incident in Sui underlines a critical reality: the people of Balochistan, weary of decades of violence, are increasingly uniting against forces that threaten their stability, and with the support of tribal communities, authorities believe that the region is moving toward greater peace and security, sending a strong signal to those seeking to destabilize the province.
