Militants attempt robbery, forces launch pursuit

QUETTA: According to security sources, three to four India-backed militants attempted to intercept and rob civilian vehicles near the Zero Point area of Surab late Thursday evening.

Eyewitnesses reported that the armed men emerged from the roadside and signaled cars to stop, apparently planning to loot travelers and create panic along this key regional route.

Local residents quickly informed law-enforcement agencies, and security forces responded within minutes.

In Balochistan news updates, On spotting the approaching troops, the militants abandoned their position and fled toward the rugged mountains surrounding Surab.

A search and pursuit operation was launched immediately, and additional personnel have been deployed to block potential escape routes.

Officials stated that the effort to track and capture the suspects is continuing.
