QUETTA: Babar Yousafzai, the former spokesperson for the Balochistan Chief Minister, launched a fierce verbal attack on opposition leaders Akhtar Mengal and Mahmood Khan Achakzai, accusing them of orchestrating a conspiracy against the state.

Speaking to the media, Yousafzai dismissed recent political protests as a “spectacle” put on by “rejected political parties” to revive their “dead politics.” He claimed these actions only cause losses for common workers and citizens, while the leaders’ “own children are sitting in London.”

He leveled serious allegations against the leaders of the Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal) and Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP). He accused Akhtar Mengal of “doing politics in the name of martyrs” and “blackmailing the state to get representation in the assembly.” He mocked Mahmood Khan Achakzai, noting he “does not even have a single assembly seat in the entire Balochistan.”

Yousafzai made a severe request to the government, asking it to make a “lesson out of the May 9 conspiracy,” equating the opposition’s actions to that infamous event. He further alleged that “miscreants” receive support from Afghanistan, claiming the Afghan government has built “shelters and training centers” for them and that funding and weapons originate from there.

He concluded by criticizing a pre-strike press conference, interpreting a leader’s statement as a threat to set fire to police stations. He condemned this, stating that government property is built with public money and destroying it only harms the citizens.
