Senior TTP Jamaat-ul-Ahrar commander killed in Khyber Operation

KHYBER: Security forces eliminated a senior commander of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) faction Jamaat-ul-Ahrar during a precision operation in Tirah Valley.

In this regard, the militant, identified as Saifullah Badri, was neutralized with a sniper shot during an exchange of fire after insurgents launched an attack on a checkpoint in the volatile region.

Furthermore, Badri was regarded as one of the most prominent figures in Jamaat-ul-Ahrar’s hierarchy. A close associate of the group’s founding member, Asad Afridi, he played a significant role in planning and executing operations.

In this regard, Security analysts note that Badri’s elimination represents a major setback for Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, which has been attempting to regroup and expand its influence in parts of Khyber and adjoining tribal districts.

The group has been responsible for several high-profile attacks in Pakistan over the past decade, targeting both security forces and civilians.
