BLA commander killed in security operation in Balochistan

QUETTA: The security forces killed a key commander of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), Zahid Bhwani, during an intelligence-based operation in the Nazarabad area of Balochistan. The operation was launched on the basis of credible intelligence regarding the presence of the BLA commander, who had been on the radar of law enforcement agencies for a long time.

So far, Zahid Bhwani was involved in multiple terrorist attacks across the province and had played a central role in orchestrating terrorist activities targeting both civilians and security personnel.

In this regard, during the operation, security personnel surrounded the hideout after confirming Bhwani’s location. The security forces managed and ensured that collateral damage was avoided, and no civilian casualties were reported.

However, law enforcement officials focused on that the operation was part of a broader strategy to restore peace and stability in Balochistan, where militant groups have sought to undermine development initiatives and disrupt the lives of local communities.
