According to a report, the Anti Narcotic Force (ANF) has seized a major haul of drugs in Loralai and some other cities.
ANF launch five massive operations in Lahore, Islamabad, Loralai and Jam Shoro.
The Anti Narcotic Forces captured more than 242 kg of drugs and arrested some four smugglers.
According to the officials, 166.3 kp heroine, 75 kg Hashish and 181 cocaine was recovered during the operation.
According to the spokesperson, the case under the sections of anti-drugs act was filed against the arrested persons.
Over the past decade, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has carried out extensive operations across Pakistan, leading to record drug seizures and major crackdowns on trafficking networks.
From 2015 to 2025, thousands of kilograms of narcotics including heroin, ice, opium, and hashish were recovered during nationwide raids.
In recent years, the scale of recoveries has grown sharply.
In 2024, ANF launched multiple operations in Gwadar, Lahore and other regions, confiscating hundreds of kilograms of hashish, opium and ice while arresting several suspects linked with international smuggling chains.
The following year saw even larger busts, with more than 101 kilograms of narcotics seized in six operations, followed by a record haul of 927 kilograms across eight operations in March 2025.
Later in April 2025, authorities intercepted 209 kilograms of narcotics, including shipments hidden in parcels destined for Dubai, Australia and the UK, while in June, drugs were found concealed in luggage and packages at airports, totaling 26 kilograms.
The most recent crackdown in August 2025 resulted in the arrest of six traffickers and the recovery of nearly 1,800 kilograms of narcotics worth over Rs 177 million, some of it intended for distribution near educational institutions.
These operations underline ANF’s intensified campaign to dismantle drug cartels, disrupt international supply chains, and prevent narcotics from reaching vulnerable communities, particularly the youth.
