SORAB: The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with national enthusiasm in Sorab district of Balochistan, like in other parts of the country.
According to details, the day began with a grand flag hoisting ceremony at the Deputy Commissioner Complex, where Deputy Commissioner Sorab Mr. Faisal Fahim Yousafzai hoisted the national flag.
On this occasion, the Levies and police forces saluted the national flag. The ceremony was attended by SP Sorab Rehmatullah Durrani, Major Safir (FC 61 Wing), Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue, Assistant Commissioner Sorab and Mehrabad, DSP Sorab, Tehsildar, SHO, district officers, journalists and regional personalities. At the end of the ceremony, special prayers were offered for the security, development and prosperity of the country.

On the occasion of Independence Day, a grand rally was also taken out under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Sorab, which started from the DC office and passed through various routes and ended again at the DC complex. District administration officers, Levies and police force, FC personnel, journalists and citizens participated in the rally in large numbers.
