Rawalpindi – Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has reaffirmed that the Pakistan Army is fully prepared to counter conventional, unconventional, and hybrid threats.
In his special message to the nation on Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, he extended heartfelt congratulations to all Pakistanis and paid tribute to the elders and Muslims of the subcontinent who made immense sacrifices for the creation of the country.
Highlighting Pakistan’s significance, he described it as not only a strong and invincible fortress of the Muslim world but also a shining example of interfaith harmony and religious freedom, where minorities continue to play a vital role in the nation’s development.
He stressed that Pakistan has made enormous human and financial sacrifices in its fight against terrorism.
Referring to the tragic incident in Pahalgam, Field Marshal Munir said Pakistan strongly condemned the attack and called for transparent international investigations.
He noted that, in response to India’s stubborn policies and targeting of Pakistan’s civilian population, the armed forces, with the nation’s support, gave a decisive reply through Operation Bunyan-un-Marsous, which has become a historic symbol of Pakistan Army’s courage and resolve.
He reiterated that while Pakistan seeks peace, development, and prosperity in the region, it will never compromise on its freedom and sovereignty, and any hostile action against the country’s territorial integrity will be met with an immediate and resolute response.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, stating that granting them their right to self-determination is the only fair and lasting solution.
Field Marshal Munir also expressed solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine and urged the international community to take immediate steps for the protection of their rights.
Paying homage to all martyrs of the freedom struggle, he said their courage, bravery, and unwavering faith remain a guiding light.

He added that he has complete confidence in the Pakistan Army’s professionalism and combat readiness and vowed that every sacrifice will be made to defend the country’s borders, dedicating all efforts to Pakistan’s stability and progress.
