Balochistan notables demand a safe recovery of AC Ziarat

QUETTA: The abduction of the Assistant Commissioner of Ziarat, along with his son, has stirred deep unrest among the public, social organizations, and business communities across Balochistan.

They have voiced serious concern over the rising trend of kidnappings targeting government officials.

According to details, yesterday’s incident has not only alarmed ordinary citizens but has also drawn sharp reactions from political and social circles.

Responding to the situation, civil society representatives stated that such incidents create a strong sense of insecurity among the people and openly challenge the writ of the state.

They added that elements responsible for spreading unrest and fear are fostering uncertainty and anxiety within society.

If administrative officers themselves are unsafe, they questioned, how can the common man consider himself secure?

It is surprising, they remarked, that despite repeated acts of sabotage and lawlessness, the state refrains from taking decisive action against such perpetrators.

Public transport, national highways, railway lines, and goods transport vehicles are also unsafe, which is causing frustration and fear among the people.

Social and community leaders have urged the immediate and safe recovery of the abducted Assistant Commissioner and his son, along with steps to restore law and order in the province. It is worth mentioning that assistant commissioner Ziarat along with his son was abducted yesterday in Quetta by unknown persons in Quetta.
