MATIARI: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that talks only possible with those who lay down arms, assuring that such individuals will be welcomed with open arms.
Speaking to the media on Sunday after visiting the shrine of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai during his Urs in Bhit Shah, district Matiari, Bugti emphasized that the doors of dialogue have never been closed by the state or the government.
During his visit, CM Sarfaraz Bugti was accompanied by Sindh’s Minister for Culture and Tourism Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, and Balochistan Ministers Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi and Mir Mohammad Sadiq Umrani.
He said that anyone willing to talk within the constitutional framework is welcome. However, he made it clear that the killing of innocent laborers by dragging them off buses is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in Balochistan.
Regarding the missing person issue, CM claimed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has a higher number of such cases than Balochistan, yet the media remains largely silent on the matter there.
“In Balochistan, the missing persons issue is used as a tool for anti-state propaganda. Why is terrorism in the name of religion called out in Karachi and Khyber, but in Balochistan, it’s given different labels?” CM Bugti questioned.
He further said that the government is fully committed to restoring peace in the province and that the state has entrusted his administration with the responsibility to achieve this goal at any cost.
CM further said that tor the first time in our history, we’ve taken action against the powerful and shown that the law is equal for all.
