ISLAMABAD: Balochistan Governor Jafar Khan Mandokhel met with Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki to discuss direct travel from Quetta to Saudi Arabia, investment and regional relations.
According to details, the meeting in Islamabad reflects Saudi Arabia’s growing diplomatic and economic presence in other parts of Pakistan, especially in the resource-rich but underdeveloped province of Balochistan, which is now gaining strategic importance in regional trade and energy corridors.
The spokesperson for the Balochistan Governor informed local media that the two sides discussed the cordial relations between the two brotherly Islamic countries, regional economic and matters of mutual interest.

During the meeting, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki appreciated Governor Mandokhel’s personal efforts to facilitate direct travel from Quetta to Saudi Arabia. Although no agreement or timeline for direct travel was mentioned, the ambassador’s remarks indicate that Saudi Arabia is interested in facilitating travel for pilgrims, laborers, and business people from Balochistan, who currently mostly travel via Karachi or Islamabad.
