After 26 years, theater makes a historic comeback in Balochistan

QUETTA: The curtains have finally risen again in Balochistan as theater returns to the province after 26 long years.  In this sense. the sound of applause echoing through cultural halls, the revival of live stage performance marks a major turning point in the artistic and cultural history of the region.

Furthermore, organized by local artists and supported by cultural bodies, the event held in Quetta drew an enthusiastic audience, including students, writers, and civil society members. The performance blended traditional narratives with modern themes, offering a reflection of Balochistan’s identity, struggles, and hope for the future.
