Quetta: In Balochistan, thieves have stolen 700 meters of electric conductors and various other electrical components. According to details, the incident occurred near the provincial capital Quetta.
Similar thefts of electrical equipment have been reported over the past month in Quetta, Mastung, Kalat, and Zhob.
While the overall security situation in the province remains fragile, criminal activity has further worsened conditions for citizens.
Public and government properties are frequently targeted, with incidents of theft and robbery becoming increasingly common.
Just recently, a video went viral on social media showing a motorcycle being stolen from outside a bank in Quetta.
A few days earlier, armed men were seen setting up illegal checkpoints on the N-25 national highway, where they robbed travelers at gunpoint of their cash, mobile phones, and valuables.
The Levies Force had to intervene to control the situation.
Incidents involving extortion and looting of truck drivers on national highways have also seen a sharp rise.
