BAGH MAIDAN: Khawarij terrorists launched a cowardly attack on peaceful civilians in Bagh Maidan, resulting in the martyrdom of three innocent individuals and injuries to nine others. In this regard, the victims were participating in a non-violent protest outside the local Brigade Headquarters, they were demanding their legitimate rights when gunfire erupted from nearby mountains.
The assailants, hiding in elevated terrain, indiscriminately opened fire on the gathering, exploiting the peaceful nature of the protest. The security forces present at the scene displayed commendable professionalism and restraint by abstaining from immediate retaliation, focusing instead on the swift evacuation of the injured to FC Hospital Shaks, where free medical aid was promptly administered.
This brutal incident is being viewed as part of a broader conspiracy aimed at destabilizing the region, sowing distrust between civilians and state institutions, and undermining the authority of the government.
It is important to mention that just days earlier, tribal elders and community representatives had declared collective resistance against the Khawarij. In such a scenario, adding a political dimension to the tense situation, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced a protest in KPK, seemingly capitalizing on the current unrest.

Some of the critics argue that instead of demonstrating national responsibility or solidarity with the affected civilians, PTI has opted to politicize the tragedy for its own interests.
