ISLAMABAD: The world acknowledges Pakistan’s vital contribution in the fight against terrorism, while Pakistan remains firmly committed to eliminating terrorism in all its forms.
Gregory D. LoGerfo, the Acting U.S. Coordinator for Counterterrorism, praised Pakistan’s efforts in the war on terror and stated that Pakistan is an essential partner in counterterrorism.
He emphasized that joint strategies with Pakistan have led to significant achievements in combating terrorism.
LoGerfo further added that ISIS-Khorasan poses a threat not only to the United States and Central Asia but also to Europe.
He highlighted Pakistan’s cooperation in arresting a most-wanted terrorist and handing him over to the U.S., calling it a major step in counterterrorism efforts.
Previously, former U.S. President Donald Trump also appreciated Pakistan’s measures in the war against terrorism.
