Iranian President's visit to Pakistan, scheduled for 26th July

ISLAMABAD: Iranian Interior Minister Seyyed Eskandar Momeni held a telephone conversation with Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Monday to discuss the upcoming visit of Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian to Pakistan, scheduled for July 26.

In this scenario, during the call, Minister Naqvi warmly welcomed the scheduled visit of President Pezeshkian, noting that it would indicate an important step towards strengthening the historic and brotherly ties between the two neighboring Muslim nations. He focused on that high-level exchanges play a vital role in increasing mutual cooperation and addressing regional challenges through constructive dialogue.

So far, Minister Momeni, in turn, conveyed appreciation for Minister Naqvi’s recent visit to Iran, acknowledging its positive impact on deepening bilateral engagement.

In this sense, both ministers agreed on the importance of such visits for focusing on the diplomatic relations and advancing collaboration in areas of mutual interest, including regional security, trade, and cultural exchange.

Minister Momeni further conveyed Iran’s commitment to provide assistance for flood relief efforts, and reassured Tehran’s commitment to humanitarian cooperation with Islamabad.
