QUETTA: The Balochistan government barred Akhtar Mengal, chief of his own faction of the Balochistan National Party (BNP), from flying to Dubai on Sunday.
Akhtar Mengal, a former chief minister of Balochistan, was scheduled to travel from Quetta to Dubai when immigration officials at the airport stopped him from boarding his flight. He was offloaded because his name had been placed on the Provincial National Identification List (PNIL).
“I was travelling to Dubai from Quetta was offloaded. Immigration staff informed me that my name had been put on the provincial national identification list (PNIL)”, read the post.
It is pertinent to mention here that an FIR has been registered against Sardar Akhtar Mengal and others for the murder of Mir Atta-ur-Rehman Mengal, son of former Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Naseer Mengal.
