QUETTA: Commissioner Quetta Division, Shahzaib Khan Kakar, conducted a comprehensive inspection of various ongoing development and beautification projects across the city, confirming the administration’s commitment to infrastructure improvement and enhanced urban living.
In this regard, during the visit, Commissioner Kakar reviewed the progress of several major initiatives, including the beautification of Airport Road, expansion of Samanleggi Road, construction of New Sabzal Road, and the upgradation of Sariab Road and Inscomb Road.
Key Projects Under Review:
- Airport Road Beautification: Aimed at improving the visual appeal and urban landscape.
- Samanleggi Road Expansion: Focused on reducing congestion and facilitating smoother traffic flow.
- New Sabzal Road Construction: Enhancing connectivity between key areas of the city.
- Sariab and Inscomb Roads Upgradation: Targeting better road conditions and commuter experience.
- Nawakkali and Bypass Roads: Designed to divert heavy traffic from inner-city routes.
- Hanna Road Rehabilitation: Ensuring restored and safer travel infrastructure for local residents.
The Commissioner was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Captain (Retd) Mehrullah Badini, and Director Development Quetta Division, Zahoor Ahmed. Technical briefings were presented by representatives of the Quetta Development Package (QDP) and the Communication and Works (C&W) Department, detailing the scope, current status, and expected timelines of the projects.
So far, the local stakeholders and residents have welcomed the government’s proactive approach, hoping that these developments will address long-standing civic issues and usher in a new era of urban transformation in Quetta.
