The budget will open new avenues of development: Balochistan government

QUETTA : The Member of Balochistan Assembly Abdul Rehman Khaitran has assure that the provincial government has prepared an excellent budget of the FY 2025-26 despite the fact that a few deficiencies may lie in the budget.

He narrated that all the funds of FY 2024-25 were fully consumed. He further went on to say that making objections on budget is nothing new.

It occurs globally. The constituencies of the opposition have also been prioritized while granting funds. We all stand by the aim of the development and the prosperity of Balochistan.

We also want our youth to get employment which would lead to eliminate the poverty in the province. No one made a protest on budget day which gives an idea of an impressive performance of the provincial government.

We will wrap up the projects not in years but in days by a healthy collaboration with the opposition.

However, in his post budget speech, the MPA from the opposition Fazal Qadir Mandokhel said that the budget is not meant to make any mega scheme.

It has no plans for the unemployed youth. In Zhob, 90 percent schools have no roofs. As many as nine MPAs of Quetta have been awarded with the funds and they are anxious where to spend them.

The funds have not been equally divided among the districts. There are no medicines in the hospitals, Zhob has become an place of miseries and troubles and there are no doctors in the hospitals either.

Schools have more strength than the capacity. There is nothing to sit on in the classrooms.

The justice has not been done while granting funds. We have insufficient resources to resolve the major problems. I want to give an idea of the poverty by highlighting that the women are begging in Zhob.
