QUETTA: Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, paid rich tribute to the legacy of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto during a commemorative event held in honor of her 72nd birth anniversary. The ceremony was attended by senior officials, party members, and citizens who gathered to remember the contributions of the first female Prime Minister of the Muslim world.
Chief Minister Bugti praised Benazir Bhutto’s unmatched leadership, calling her a symbol of democratic resilience and a beacon of hope for millions.
Bugti also mentioned the sacrifices and vision of the Bhutto family, stating, “The debt this nation owes to the Bhutto family can never be repaid.”
He noted that Pakistan’s nuclear and missile programs were direct outcomes of the strategic foresight of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
The Chief Minister also commended Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for his courageous diplomatic stance at international forums.
“Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has boldly represented Pakistan on the world stage, where he made it clear that Pakistan seeks peace, while India pursues aggression. The world is beginning to acknowledge this distinction, he added.”
He reasserted the PPP’s commitment to national unity and development. He also announced that the long-awaited People’s Air Ambulance Service will soon be launched in Balochistan. “This project will significantly improve emergency healthcare access in remote areas of the province,” he noted.

The event concluded with a candlelight vigil and prayers in memory of Benazir Bhutto, celebrating her lifelong struggle for democracy, human rights, and the empowerment of the underprivileged.
