QUETTA: Former Spokesperson of CM Balochistan and Social Activist Muhammad Ali Achakzai has questioned the warm reception given to Mahrang Baloch and Samidin in the United States and Europe, claiming it reflects how international platforms are being used to promote anti-state agendas under the guise of activism.
Speaking to Burak Digital, Achakzai said that these individuals act as “proxies” of foreign-backed networks, attempting to take over state roles while serving as the political face of terrorist groups.
Achakzai went on to question the credibility of claims made by groups like the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) regarding missing persons, adding that over 100,000 people are missing in the United States alone, and India has over 64,000 missing persons. Yet when BYC presents their list, it includes only a few hundred names — many of which are repeated or proven to have died during terrorist acts, he said.

He added that the so-called “list of missing persons” shrinks with each investigation, exposing flaws in the narrative. “This issue has been weaponized to malign state institutions while hiding the reality of terrorism and foreign involvement,” he asserted.
Achakzai emphasized the need for national unity against what he termed a “well-funded propaganda campaign” and called for international communities to avoid giving space to groups that misrepresent facts and promote instability.
