TEHRAN: Iran’s state television resumed live coverage shortly after the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) building was targeted in an Israeli airstrike.
The incident occurred during a live broadcast when a presenter was on air, delivering a fierce criticism of Israel. The footage widely circulated by Iranian media, the presenter was seen hurriedly leaving the studio moments before a loud blast interrupted the transmission.
The attack temporarily disrupted live programming but was brought back online within minutes.

Iran’s Mehr News Agency and Press TV shared visuals on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), showing damage to the IRIB complex.
Iranian news agency IRNA reported, “Live programmes were briefly halted at the IRIB News Network but returned to normal a few minutes afterwards,” underlining the swift response by broadcast engineers and emergency teams.
This strike on Iran’s media infrastructure came on the heels of reports that Israeli fighter jets had conducted air raids in a civilian residential neighborhood in Tehran earlier the same day.
