PESHAWAR: Security forces conducted two successful operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on June 15 and 16, killing five terrorists linked to the Indian proxy group, Fitna al Khawarij.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations, media affairs wing of the Pakistan Army, security forces, based on intelligence reports, conducted an operation in Peshawar and North Waziristan.
Security forces conducted the operation and effectively surrounded the militants. As a result, four terrorists were killed in the operation. Among them were Haris and Basir, both confirmed operatives of the Indian-backed Khawarij network.
In a separate operation, security forces neutralized a terrorist belonging to the same group. These back-to-back operations mark a significant blow to the Indian proxy network attempting to destabilise Pakistan through its violent agents.
Authorities confirmed that all terrorists killed were involved in multiple attacks on security forces and civilians.
The operations are part of ongoing efforts to eliminate the presence of Indian-sponsored militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
