GWADAR: Gwadar is a coastal city in Balochistan. It is becoming a new hub for regional tourism. The city attracts visitors with its natural beauty, clean beaches, and serene environment. During Eid, Gwadar saw a record number of tourists. They came from nearby areas like Turbat, Pasni, Ormara, Panjgur, and Karachi.
The Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) is improving the city’s appeal. They are providing top facilities for tourists. GDA has developed several beaches with modern features. These include beautiful infrastructure, green parks, play areas for children, well-lit footpaths, and attractive sitting spaces.
GDA Director General Saifullah Khetran gave special directives. Teams worked during Eid to ensure cleanliness, security, and other facilities. They took extra measures at parks, beaches, and public places. This ensured a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for visitors.
On the second day of Eid, social organizations held a traditional Eid fair on Koh Batil. In the evening, GDA Model Beach Park hosted special events. Women and children enjoyed recreational activities. Many women attended and had a great time.
The tourist surge boosted shopping in local markets. Tourists especially loved Gwadar’s traditional “Gwadri Halwa.”
Tourists are increasingly choosing Gwadar. GDA’s effective planning shows Gwadar is not just a commercial hub. It will soon become Pakistan’s largest recreational destination.
