Balochistan upcoming budget to prioritise jobs, youth empowerment: CM Bugti

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Wednesday announced that the upcoming provincial budget will focus on youth empowerment and job creation. He said the government remains committed to sustainable development and economic stability.

He spoke at the inauguration of a new block and auditorium at the Balochistan Assembly in Quetta. The Chief Minister said the new building reflects the province’s cultural heritage, traditions, and the future needs of its people.

“This building will improve the efficiency and performance of this key platform for public representation,” said CM Bugti.

He addressed the event in the new auditorium, joined by provincial ministers, parliamentary secretaries, and assembly members. He praised the Department of Communication and Works for completing the project quickly and with quality. He noted that the old assembly building could no longer meet legislative demands.

CM Bugti said the new complex is being developed with federal support and will include modern facilities for legislative work. He pledged to provide all necessary resources to elected representatives and ensure the smooth functioning of the assembly.

He also highlighted that over 90 percent of the development budget had been used within the set timeframe. “This shows the government is performing effectively,” he added.

CM Bugti claimed that the next provincial budget will be surplus. He said this reflects strong financial discipline and better planning. He confirmed that youth welfare and employment will stay top priorities.

On law and order, the Chief Minister said security forces are conducting targeted operations against terrorists. He said these actions have brought positive results across the province. “Peace is returning to Balochistan. Roads are open, and normal life is resuming,” he said.

He added that the government’s focus on infrastructure, fiscal responsibility, and youth development shows a clear vision for Balochistan’s future.
