QUETTA: Pakistan’s longstanding claims, fresh evidence has emerged linking Indian intelligence agencies to a covert hybrid war in Balochistan, using terrorist outfits such as the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) as operational tools, while simultaneously running propaganda campaigns through fake digital accounts.
The BLA and BLF, both banned terrorist organizations, have been involved in multiple acts of violence across Balochistan, targeting security forces, infrastructure, and civilians in a bid to destabilize the province.
In this regard, digital warfare is the new front in this campaign. There are numerous fake social media accounts masquerading as Baloch activists that have been traced back to locations in India, particularly Delhi and Mumbai.

Furthermore, these accounts, designed to spread false narratives about Pakistan’s internal affairs, aim to incite unrest and exploit ethnic tensions in Balochistan. However, Indian efforts to manipulate the digital landscape have been largely unsuccessful due to increased vigilance by cybersecurity experts and digital watchdogs.
