QUETTA: The terrorist organization, Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), intercepted and set fire to trucks carrying wheat from Punjab to Balochistan, depriving thousands of impoverished citizens of essential food supplies.
The attack, which took place on a key route leading into the province, mentions the extremist group’s increasing hostility towards the very people they claim to represent.
There are security officials confirmed that several trucks loaded with wheat were torched in the Kech district of Balochistan.
The wheat consignment was part of a humanitarian effort to alleviate food shortages in the region, where inflation and supply-chain disruptions have already made basic necessities hard to access for many.
The BLA, designated a terrorist organization by Pakistan and numerous international bodies, has long been involved in subversive activities, including attacks on civilians, security forces, and critical infrastructure.

In this regard, there are multiple stories in past, the BLA has targeted Punjabi laborers working in Balochistan, aiming to fuel ethnic divisions and undermine national unity. Despite these efforts, Baloch and Punjabi communities across the country continue to coexist under the shared identity of Pakistan.
However, authorities have also pointed fingers at foreign interference in Balochistan’s unrest, particularly India’s alleged involvement in funding and supporting separatist outfits like the BLA.
