ISLAMABAD: The narrative of “missing persons” in Balochistan is being increasingly exposed as a deliberate propaganda tool, orchestrated by terrorist organizations and their political fronts to malign Pakistan’s security operations and promote an anti-state agenda.
Furthermore, the Intelligence and security sources have confirmed that groups like the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) are actively involved in spreading misinformation under the guise of human rights concerns.
These groups, declared as terrorist organizations by the Government of Pakistan and recognized internationally, including by the United Nations, have long been funded and supported by foreign powers, notably India.
Moreover, one of the most exploited tactics has been the issue of “missing persons.” However, their families are often coerced or misled into filing claims, giving cover to those involved in terrorism.
So far, several security analysts have focused on that such propaganda not only undermines national security but also misguides the youth of Balochistan.

Meanwhile, Pakistan continues its fight against extremism and foreign interference, it is vital for all responsible citizens and institutions to critically examine such narratives. In addition, false claims surrounding missing persons should not be used as shields for terrorists, nor should they be allowed to tarnish the efforts of security forces striving to restore peace in Balochistan.
