Qalat: Security forces in Kohak area of Qalat district successfully recovered and neutralized 40 kilograms of explosive material (IED) during an intelligence-based operation.
According to details, the improvised explosive device (IED) was found connected to a battery, approximately 20 meters of wire, and an STOS (Switch Triggered Ordnance System) device, indicating it was prepared for remote detonation or targeted attack.
The timely discovery and defusal of the large cache of explosives prevented a potential major terrorist incident in the region. Security forces continue to conduct clearance operations to ensure the safety of civilians and maintain peace in Balochistan.
