4.6 Magnitude earthquake jolts Kalat and surrounding areas

QUETTA: A magnitude of 4.6 earthquake jolted Kalat district and surrounding areas.

According to the Seismological Center, tremors of an earthquake have been felt in the Kalat district of Balochistan.

The epicenter of the earthquake was sixty-four kilometers northeast of Kalat, and the intensity of the earthquake was recorded as 4.6 on the Richter scale.

Earlier, Tremors were felt in Turbat and its surrounding areas in Balochistan, spreading panic among local residents.

The epicenter was located 40 kilometers northwest of Turbat at a depth of 34 kilometers. Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties or property damage so far.

Similarly on Sunday, tremors were also recorded in Pasni with a magnitude of 4.9. Over the past several days, mild seismic activity has been reported across various parts of Balochistan.
