NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Pakistan’s security forces thwarted a major infiltration attempt along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, eliminating 30 Fitna Al Khawarij terrorists in North Waziristan. The operation, conducted in the general area of Hassan Khel, was confirmed in an official statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The ISPR stated that the terrorists belonged to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), referred to as “Khawarij” in the statement, and were being backed by foreign elements.
In this sense, a substantial cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered from the dead terrorists. Among those neutralized were key commanders Najeeb alias ‘Paraki’ and Azhar, the latter being a high-value target and head of the TTP’s “Tashkeel” group.
Furthermore, the military media wing also urged the Interim Afghan Government to take effective measures to prevent the use of its soil for hostile activities against Pakistan.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lauded the operation and paid rich tributes to the armed forces.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif echoed similar sentiments, commending the bravery and commitment of the forces in safeguarding national sovereignty.
