PESHAWAR: Pakistan’s military said it had killed 23 terrorists linked to India-backed Fitna al-Khawarij in two separate operations in Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the ISPR, security forces, on 19 November 2025, launched the first operation after receiving intelligence about the presence of militants in the area. Troops struck the hideout and engaged the fighters. Twelve terrorists were killed in the exchange of fire.
ISPR said fresh intelligence from the first raid confirmed that another group of militants was operating in the same broader area. Security forces then carried out a second intelligence-based operation and killed 11 more terrorists.
Clearance and sanitisation operations are under way to locate and eliminate any remaining militants operating with foreign support.
The military said its counterterrorism campaign, conducted under Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, will continue with full force to eradicate externally supported terrorism across the country.
On 16-17 November 2025, security forces had carried out two intelligence-based operations in Bajaur and Bannu districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and killed twenty-three khawarij belonging to Indian Proxy Fitna Al Khwarij.
On reported presence of khawarij, an intelligence-based operation was conducted by the Security Forces in Bajaur District, it added.
During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location, resultantly eleven khwarij including kharji ring leader Sajjad @Abuzar were sent to hell.
In another intelligence-based operation conducted in Bannu District, own troops successfully neutralized twelve more khwarij.
