KHUZDAR: Nineteen construction workers, associated with a construction project, who were abducted at gunpoint from the Nal area of Khuzdar district of Balochistan, have been recovered after three months, officials said.
All the workers were taken away at gunpoint by believed to be the miscreants of Fitna al Hindustan from the Nal while working at a private construction site.
According to reports, all 19 workers are belonged to Sindh province.
According to police, all the rescued workers are safe and no physical harm was reported.
After their recovery, the workers were handed over to authorities for initial medical examinations and legal formalities.
The abduction was carried out by militants, officials said.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Earlier in October, Judge Muhammad Jan Baloch, who was abducted in Kharan during court proceedings, had also safely returned home
According to police, armed assailants stormed the court complex in the Maskan Kalat area on Monday, setting the premises ablaze and looting vehicles and official documents. During the attack, the gunmen abducted the senior judicial officer while he was presiding over a session.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Abdul Haye Amir Baloch said that the attackers torched parts of the lower court before fleeing the scene with the judge. The officer added that the perpetrators released Judge Baloch unharmed, and he has now reached home safely.
