11 Bodies Recovered as Rescue Operation Continues

QUETTA: Provincial Minister for Mines and Minerals Mir Shoaib Nosherwani stated that 11 bodies of miners have been recovered so far from the tragic coal mine incident in Sorrange, while rescue teams continue their operations despite extremely difficult conditions.

All available resources are being utilized to reach the other trapped workers, and the Balochistan government is closely monitoring the rescue operation to ensure no stone is left unturned in the relief activities.

Expressing deep sympathy with the families of the deceased miners, the minister announced that safety arrangements in the mining sector are being thoroughly reviewed to prevent future tragedies, an inquiry will be conducted into all aspects of the accident, and compensation of 500,000 rupees per person for the heirs of the deceased and 300,000 rupees per person for the injured will be provided.
