QUETTA: Police have arrested 11 suspects after a viral video on social media showed a man and a woman being shot and killed for honour in Balochisan.
The couple had married against their family’s wishes.
The viral video clip, which shows the couple being shot at by armed men on the orders of a local tribe council for marrying of their choice, had sparked nationwide outrage and calls for bringing the perpetrators to justice.
Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, in a post on his official X account, stated that 11 suspects have been arrested so far.

The operation is ongoing. All those involved will be brought to justice. The state stands with the oppressed, tweeted the Chief Minister.
