Pakistan and China launch joint vocational training programs

BEIJING: In a significant step toward strengthening Pakistan-China relations, both countries have agreed to launch joint vocational training programs under the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

These programs will focus on key sectors such as artificial intelligence (AI), agriculture, construction, and hospitality.

The initiative is being led by Chairperson of the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), Gulmina Bilal Ahmed, who visited China from July 6 to 12.

This collaboration aims to develop a skilled workforce and deepen bilateral cooperation in practical and economic domains.

Beyond vocational training, Pakistan and China have been collaborating on various CPEC-related initiatives that include infrastructure development, energy projects, special economic zones (SEZs), and technology transfer.

Projects such as the Gwadar Port, road and rail connectivity, and clean energy investments are key components.
